Workstation Reservations in Robarts Library

Simple login screen. Only available to University of Toronto students

Landing screen lists what's available on the user's current floor (determined by connecting to a large screen in the library) and provides options to search other floors

Scrollable list of available computers (no preference selected)

Confirm a reservation

Users would have a time limit to reach their reserved workstation. If they don't confirm their login at the workstation, it assumes they have left the library, and frees up the computer for someone else to use.

This project was designed in conjunction with B. Kaplan, I. Park, and M. Maleki. An iPhone-based application was designed to integrate with systems at the University of Toronto Libraries to allow students to remotely reserve computer workstations from elsewhere in the libraries by connecting with large screens in the library, saving students valuable time otherwise spent searching 13 floors.
